Responsibilities
- Maintain parks, athletic fields, and recreational facilities ensuring safety and cleanliness
- Assist with program setup, supervision, and execution of community events
- Operate and maintain equipment including tractors, mowers, and irrigation systems
- Provide exceptional customer service to park visitors and program participants
- Enforce park rules and regulations professionally
- Collaborate with team members on facility improvements and seasonal projects
- Participate in emergency response procedures when required
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Virginia driver's license
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor in varying weather conditions
- Experience in grounds maintenance or recreational program preferred
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings
