Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair athletic fields, playgrounds, and landscaping areas to ensure high-quality standards.
- Operate and perform routine maintenance on landscaping equipment, including mowers, trimmers, and tractors.
- Assist with the construction and upkeep of park facilities, including benches, fences, and restrooms.
- Support community events and recreational programs by setting up equipment and managing event logistics.
- Monitor park grounds for safety hazards, debris, and maintenance needs, reporting issues promptly.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, environmental guidelines, and City policies while on duty.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Valid California Class C Driver’s License (or ability to obtain one) is strongly preferred.
- Ability to perform manual labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for extended periods, and working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of landscaping or facility maintenance is a plus but not mandatory due to our paid training program.
- Strong commitment to customer service and teamwork.
