Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to federal staff, including answering phones, greeting visitors, and managing incoming correspondence.
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate records in federal databases, ensuring strict adherence to privacy regulations (e.g., NARA, Privacy Act).
- Prepare and process travel vouchers, purchase orders, and reimbursement requests in accordance with federal travel regulations.
- Organize and archive physical and electronic files, ensuring efficient retrieval and compliance with record-keeping standards.
- Assist in the coordination of meetings, conferences, and internal events for the office.
- Screen and prioritize emails and mail, routing urgent matters to the appropriate personnel immediately.
Qualifications
- Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship is required for this federal position.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of administrative or clerical experience in a professional office environment.
- Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and electronic filing systems.
- Background: Must be able to pass a federal background investigation and obtain a security clearance if required.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with the public and government officials.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; Associate’s degree preferred.
