Responsibilities
- Perform accurate data entry and document processing for federal records and veteran files.
- Provide general administrative support, including answering phones and greeting visitors.
- Assist veterans with inquiries regarding benefits, claims, and office procedures.
- Organize and maintain both physical and electronic filing systems in strict accordance with federal standards.
- Prepare correspondence, memos, and reports as directed by supervisors.
- Ensure compliance with VA policies, regulations, and privacy laws.
- Collaborate with team members to streamline office workflows and improve efficiency.
Qualifications
- United States Citizenship is required for federal employment.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a favorable background investigation (Public Trust).
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in an office environment, customer service, or government setting is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Ability to type 40 words per minute or higher.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
