Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret large-scale federal datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and compliance risks
- Develop automated data pipelines and quality control protocols for federal reporting systems
- Create interactive dashboards and visualizations for federal agency stakeholders using tools like Tableau
- Ensure all data processing activities comply with FISMA, HIPAA, and other federal regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement data governance frameworks
- Document data methodologies, validation processes, and compliance documentation
- Present findings to senior leadership with clear recommendations for policy improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Public Administration, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of experience analyzing federal or government datasets
- Proficiency in SQL, Python (Pandas, NumPy), and R for statistical analysis
- Strong understanding of federal data regulations (FISMA, HIPAA, 21st Century CIGAR Act)
- Advanced skills in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js)
- Certification in data governance (e.g., CDMP) or federal compliance (e.g., CIPP/US)
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS GovCloud or Azure Government)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while meeting strict deadlines
