Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of critical municipal IT infrastructure and software solutions.
- Analyze complex business requirements and translate them into robust technical architectures.
- Oversee the security and integrity of sensitive government data and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Manage vendor relationships and coordinate with external partners to deliver high-quality technical solutions.
- Conduct thorough system performance testing and troubleshoot complex technical issues to minimize downtime.
- Mentor junior staff members and foster a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in information technology within a government or large enterprise environment.
- Strong proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and modern development methodologies.
- Certification such as PMP, CompTIA Security+, or AWS Solutions Architect is highly preferred.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to obtain a background check and pass a security clearance, as required by the position.
