Responsibilities
- Data Cleaning & Processing: Collect, clean, and preprocess large volumes of federal datasets from various sources to ensure high-quality analysis.
- Statistical Analysis: Perform advanced statistical analysis and modeling to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in government data.
- Reporting & Visualization: Develop clear, concise, and interactive dashboards using Tableau or PowerBI to present findings to stakeholders and federal program managers.
- Compliance Support: Ensure all data handling processes adhere to federal regulations, including FISMA, NIST, and agency-specific security policies.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of data sources, methodologies, and analytical scripts to ensure transparency and reproducibility.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams and subject matter experts to define data requirements and project goals.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Information Systems, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in data analysis, preferably within the federal government or a government contracting environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL for database querying and Python or R for statistical analysis. Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI, or Looker) is highly preferred.
- Security Clearance: Must be willing and able to obtain a Public Trust clearance or possess an active Secret clearance.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex data concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Time Management: Ability to manage time effectively in a part-time capacity to meet strict deadlines.
