Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of parks, playgrounds, and athletic fields
- Operate park equipment (mowers, trimmers, hand tools) for routine maintenance
- Assist in setting up/taking down recreational events and sports programs
- Monitor park usage and report facility maintenance needs or safety hazards
- Provide excellent customer service to park visitors and program participants
- Support seasonal park beautification projects (planting, mulching, litter removal)
- Complete daily maintenance logs and incident reports as required
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to perform physical labor in outdoor environments (lifting, bending, walking)
- Basic knowledge of park maintenance practices or willingness to learn
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
- Flexible availability including weekends and evenings
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Previous experience in landscaping, facilities maintenance, or recreation programs a plus
