Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor for road repairs, sidewalk maintenance, and park infrastructure projects
- Operate light machinery (e.g., jackhammers, asphalt saws) under supervision
- Assist in storm drain cleaning, brush removal, and vegetation management
- Ensure work zones comply with OSHA safety standards and city protocols
- Support emergency response teams during weather-related incidents
- Maintain accurate equipment logs and material inventory
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams for project efficiency
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Arizona driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and safety procedures
- Strong physical stamina and endurance for repetitive tasks
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions precisely
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Experience with heavy equipment operation preferred but not required
