Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor including excavation, grading, and paving for infrastructure projects
- Operate heavy machinery (e.g., backhoes, dump trucks) under proper supervision
- Conduct routine maintenance of public roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Assist in emergency storm response and flood control operations
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety protocols and city regulations
- Participate in vegetation control and landscaping for public spaces
- Maintain accurate records of materials, equipment usage, and project progress
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Nevada driver's license with clean record
- Minimum 1 year construction/public works experience preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and equipment operation
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical and background check
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
