As a Laborer, you will be on the front lines of keeping Jacksonville beautiful and safe.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain light and heavy equipment, including street sweepers, dump trucks, and snow plows.
- Perform manual labor tasks such as trash collection, leaf pickup, and brush removal.
- Maintain public parks, drainage systems, and roadways to ensure safety and cleanliness.
- Assist in snow and ice removal during inclement weather events.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, OSHA standards, and departmental policies.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and on time.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Class E Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs and operating machinery.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions (heat, cold, rain).
- Basic mechanical aptitude is a plus.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
