Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including digging, cleaning, and loading materials.
- Maintain streets, sidewalks, parks, and public grounds to ensure safety and aesthetics.
- Assist skilled tradespeople (electricians, plumbers, heavy equipment operators) with various construction and maintenance projects.
- Operate light machinery and hand tools safely and efficiently.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests and weather-related incidents (snow removal, debris clearing).
- Ensure all work areas are kept clean, safe, and compliant with OSHA and city safety regulations.
- Inspect infrastructure for signs of wear or damage and report issues to supervisors.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Basic reading and writing skills required for safety documentation.
- Physically capable of performing heavy manual labor for extended periods, including lifting and bending.
- Valid Florida Driver’s License (preferred).
- Willingness to learn and follow strict safety protocols.
- High school diploma or GED (preferred).
