Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain heavy machinery, including graders, rollers, and dump trucks.
- Perform routine maintenance and repair of city streets, sidewalks, and drainage systems.
- Assist in snow and ice removal operations during inclement weather.
- Inspect infrastructure for defects and report maintenance needs to supervisors.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all OSHA safety standards.
- Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment as required for projects.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid Class B CDL Driver's License is preferred; some positions may require certification.
- Previous experience in public works, construction, or general labor is a plus.
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and work in various weather conditions.
- Ability to read and understand safety plans and technical diagrams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
