Responsibilities
- Maintain and organize confidential public records in compliance with Ohio Sunshine Laws
- Process public record requests with accuracy and timeliness
- Digitize physical documents using secure city systems
- Verify document authenticity and maintain chain-of-custody logs
- Assist in records retention scheduling and destruction protocols
- Provide courteous guidance to citizens regarding public access procedures
- Collaborate with other departments on cross-departmental record management
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1+ years administrative or records management experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
- Basic knowledge of Ohio public records laws preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
