Responsibilities
- Tier 1 & 2 Support: Provide timely and efficient technical assistance via phone, email, and remote desktop tools for staff experiencing hardware or software issues.
- System Administration: Assist in the management and maintenance of local and cloud-based applications, ensuring data security and accessibility.
- Hardware Deployment: Coordinate the setup, configuration, and delivery of new equipment, including laptops, printers, and mobile devices, to remote work locations.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of support tickets, resolutions, and system configurations within the Helpdesk ticketing system.
- Security Compliance: Enforce IT security protocols and conduct regular security checks to protect sensitive public health data from unauthorized access.
- Training: Conduct brief remote training sessions for staff on new software updates and best practices for digital security.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is strongly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a Helpdesk or IT Support role.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in troubleshooting Windows and macOS operating systems. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, Active Directory, and basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS).
- Remote Work Proficiency: Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote setting with minimal supervision and strict adherence to deadlines.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Availability: Ability to work part-time hours (approx. 15-20 hours per week) with flexibility to cover occasional evening or weekend shifts as needed.
