Responsibilities
- Perform security screenings of passengers, carry-on baggage, and cargo using advanced imaging technology and explosive trace detection equipment.
- Enforce security regulations, policies, and procedures to maintain a safe and secure environment.
- Identify potential threats or prohibited items and take appropriate action.
- Collaborate effectively with fellow security officers and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
- Stand for extended periods and perform repetitive physical tasks with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and communicate clearly with the traveling public.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident (or have a valid work authorization).
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
- Ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and medical examination.
- Must be able to pass the TSA Transportation Security Officer pre-employment test.
- Excellent vision and ability to distinguish colors.
