Responsibilities
- Screen passengers, carry-on baggage, and cargo for prohibited items and security threats using X-ray equipment and hand-held metal detectors.
- Enforce security regulations and procedures to ensure the safety of all travelers and airport personnel.
- Interact professionally and courteously with the public, resolving security concerns and providing assistance when necessary.
- Patrol security checkpoints and monitor surveillance cameras to identify and prevent potential security breaches.
- Operate and maintain security screening equipment in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and TSA protocols.
- Report any irregularities, suspicious activities, or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor immediately.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient flow of passengers during peak travel times.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident (Green Card holder) with the ability to pass a background check.
- High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) required.
- Ability to pass a drug screening test and medical examination.
- Excellent vision (corrected or uncorrected) and the ability to distinguish colors is mandatory.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Physical fitness is required; ability to stand for extended periods, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- No felony convictions or domestic violence restraining orders within the past 7 years.
