Responsibilities
- Passenger Screening: Operate X-ray machines and advanced imaging technology to screen passengers and carry-on baggage for prohibited items.
- Baggage Inspection: Conduct manual bag searches to identify and resolve security threats or prohibited items.
- Security Enforcement: Enforce security regulations and procedures strictly to maintain a secure environment.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with travelers, providing clear instructions and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere while ensuring security.
- Equipment Maintenance: Monitor equipment functionality and report any malfunctions to the appropriate supervisor.
- Emergency Response: Respond quickly and effectively to security breaches or emergency situations.
Qualifications
- Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Background Check: Must pass a federal background investigation, including fingerprinting and drug screening.
- Age: Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and pass a medical examination.
- Legal: No disqualifying criminal history, including certain drug-related offenses.
