Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray screening equipment to inspect carry-on and checked baggage for prohibited items.
- Screen passengers using walk-through metal detectors and advanced imaging technology.
- Patrol the terminal and screening areas to maintain a secure environment.
- Enforce security regulations, policies, and procedures consistently and fairly.
- Assist passengers with inquiries and resolve security screening issues professionally.
- Stand for long periods and be prepared to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Qualifications
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen or National.
- Education: High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) required.
- Background: Must pass a background investigation, drug screen, and medical examination.
- Experience: No prior security or law enforcement experience is necessary.
- Age: Must be at least 18 years old.
- Physical: Must be able to pass a physical fitness test and stand for extended periods.
