Responsibilities
- Mail Delivery: Sort, cancel, and deliver mail to customers along an assigned route on foot or by vehicle.
- Package Handling: Sort, bundle, and handle packages with care, ensuring they are delivered to the correct address.
- Customer Interaction: Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions and resolving delivery issues professionally.
- Physical Stamina: Perform the physical requirements of the job, including lifting heavy packages (up to 70 lbs) and walking long distances daily.
- Vehicle Operation: Safely operate a USPS vehicle (if assigned) to transport mail and packages efficiently.
- Route Management: Maintain accurate records of mail and packages delivered and follow the prescribed route.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and postal policies to ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications
- Age: At least 18 years of age.
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen or have permanent resident status.
- Driver's License: Valid state driver's license is required.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to lift heavy packages and stand/walk for extended periods.
