Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with speed and precision
- Dispatch police units using CAD systems and radio communications
- Maintain detailed records of all incidents and communications
- Provide critical information to officers in the field
- Coordinate with other emergency services (fire, medical)
- Operate multi-line telephone systems and computer-aided dispatch (CAD)
- Remain calm and professional during crisis situations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Clear typing test (40+ WPM)
- Pass comprehensive background check
- Valid California driver's license
- Ability to multitask in high-pressure environments
- Strong communication and listening skills
- No felony convictions
