Responsibilities
- Process 911 emergency calls and non-emergency dispatch requests with accuracy and urgency
- Operate radio communication systems to coordinate police, fire, and EMS responses
- Maintain detailed logs of all communications and incidents using CAD systems
- Provide clear instructions to callers during emergency situations
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Utilize mapping software to determine optimal response routes
- Adhere to all FCC regulations and department protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Ability to pass background investigation and polygraph examination
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean driving record
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Clear speaking voice and exceptional communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- No felony convictions or domestic violence charges
