Responsibilities
- Receive and prioritize emergency/non-emergency calls via 911 and administrative lines
- Dispatch police units using CAD (Computer-Aided Dispatch) systems
- Maintain accurate call logs and incident documentation
- Coordinate with other agencies (fire, EMS) during multi-incident responses
- Provide critical information to field units during active situations
- Remain calm and professional under high-pressure scenarios
- Complete all required training modules within probationary period
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Must pass background check and polygraph examination
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM (tested during hiring process)
- Ability to multitask in high-stress environments
- Strong communication and active listening skills
- US citizenship and Arizona residency required
- No felony convictions (misdemeanors reviewed case-by-case)
