Responsibilities
- Process 911 calls and prioritize emergency responses
- Dispatch police units using CAD/RMS systems
- Maintain detailed call logs and incident reports
- Coordinate with fire, EMS, and other agencies
- Provide crisis intervention and caller guidance
- Operate radio equipment and communication consoles
- Adhere to NIMS protocols and NJ standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- US citizenship and NJ residency required
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Ability to multitask in high-pressure environments
- Strong typing skills (35+ WPM)
- Clear communication and active listening skills
- Basic computer proficiency
- Valid NJ driver's license
