Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with exceptional speed and accuracy
- Operate Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems and radio communications equipment
- Coordinate field units during critical incidents using established protocols
- Maintain detailed records and documentation of all communications
- Provide pre-arrival instructions to callers during medical emergencies
- Collaborate with cross-agency responders during multi-jurisdictional incidents
- Remain calm and decisive in high-pressure, time-sensitive situations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM with 95% accuracy
- Valid California driver's license with clean record
- Ability to pass comprehensive background investigation and polygraph
- Clear speaking voice with excellent diction and pronunciation
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and adaptable to new technologies
- Must be US citizen or authorized to work permanently in the US
- No felony convictions or misdemeanor domestic violence charges
