Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with accuracy and compassion
- Operate computer-aided dispatch (CAD) systems and radio communications
- Provide critical information to police, fire, and EMS personnel
- Maintain detailed call logs and incident documentation
- Multi-task during high-pressure emergency situations
- Coordinate resources during critical incidents
- Adhere to strict confidentiality protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM
- Pass criminal background check and drug screening
- Valid Texas driver's license (or ability to obtain)
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights/weekends
- Strong communication and active listening skills
- U.S. citizenship or legal resident status
- No felony convictions
