Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with accuracy and empathy
- Dispatch police units using CAD/RMS systems and radio communication
- Maintain detailed logs of all communications and incidents
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Provide critical information to field officers and first responders
- Operate computer-aided dispatch and mapping systems
- Adhere to strict confidentiality protocols and departmental policies
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and psychological evaluation
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with accuracy
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- Ability to work rotating shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Experience in customer service or emergency services (preferred)
- Must be US citizen or authorized to work in the US
