Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with accuracy and professionalism
- Operate Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems and radio communications
- Provide life-saving instructions during medical emergencies
- Maintain detailed call logs and incident documentation
- Coordinate with multiple agencies during critical incidents
- Remain calm and decisive under high-stress conditions
- Complete all required academy training modules successfully
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Ohio driver's license at time of hire
- Ability to pass comprehensive background check
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM (verified during assessment)
- Excellent communication and active listening skills
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environments
- No felony convictions and clean driving record
