Responsibilities
- Monitor and answer emergency and non-emergency 911 and phone calls.
- Dispatch police, fire, and medical units to incident locations efficiently.
- Enter and update accurate incident reports and status updates in the CAD system.
- Communicate critical information to field officers via radio and telephone.
- Maintain a high level of situational awareness during high-stress situations.
- Assist the public with inquiries, directions, and resource referrals.
- Learn and apply all departmental safety protocols and Standard Operating Procedures.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or have legal right to work in the United States.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Valid Texas Driver’s License (or ability to obtain within 90 days).
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- No prior experience is required; full training is provided.
