Responsibilities
- Monitor police radio frequencies and dispatch emergency units.
- Receive and process 911 calls, gathering critical information and dispatching appropriate resources.
- Maintain accurate logs and records of all dispatch activities and unit status.
- Communicate effectively with police officers, fire departments, and EMS personnel during emergencies.
- Perform administrative duties such as data entry and report generation.
- Remain calm and professional in high-stress, high-volume situations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to type 35+ words per minute.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
