Responsibilities
- Receive and prioritize incoming calls from the public and law enforcement personnel.
- Dispatch police, fire, and medical units to emergency scenes with speed and accuracy.
- Monitor police radio frequencies and provide real-time updates to field officers.
- Maintain accurate, detailed logs of all dispatch activities and incidents.
- Assist citizens with non-emergency inquiries and provide resource information.
- Operate Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems and other telecommunications equipment.
- Collaborate with other agencies and support personnel to ensure seamless operations.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED certificate is required.
- Minimum typing speed of 35 words per minute.
- U.S. Citizenship or permanent resident status required.
- Valid Driverβs License with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
