Responsibilities

  • Receive and process emergency 911 calls and non-emergency inquiries with speed and accuracy.
  • Dispatch law enforcement, fire, and emergency medical units to incident locations.
  • Enter and maintain accurate data in computer-aided dispatch (CAD) systems.
  • Provide critical information to responding units and coordinate on-scene resources.
  • Monitor radio frequencies and maintain situational awareness during shifts.
  • Assist in training new dispatchers and mentoring junior staff during the trainee phase.
  • Perform administrative duties such as report filing and record-keeping.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; Associate’s degree preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
