Responsibilities
- Process emergency/non-emergency calls with exceptional accuracy and compassion
- Dispatch officers, firefighters, and EMS resources using CAD/RMS systems
- Maintain detailed logs and documentation of all communications
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Provide life-saving instructions via phone until help arrives
- Operate radio equipment and specialized emergency software
- Adhere to strict confidentiality protocols and HIPAA compliance
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid driver's license with clean record
- Minimum 40 WPM typing certification
- Ability to pass background check and polygraph examination
- U.S. citizenship and Kentucky residency
- Clear speaking voice with strong communication skills
- Ability to remain calm under extreme pressure
- Basic computer proficiency (MS Office, CAD systems)
