Responsibilities
- Monitor Emergency Systems: Receive and process incoming 911 and non-emergency calls efficiently and accurately.
- Dispatch Units: Coordinate the deployment of police, fire, and medical units to incident locations.
- Record Keeping: Maintain detailed and up-to-date incident logs and records in CAD systems.
- Information Relay: Relay vital information to field personnel and support agencies during emergencies.
- Calming Presence: Provide clear instructions and reassurance to callers in distressing situations.
- Shift Work: Work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays to ensure 24/7 coverage.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Experience: No prior experience necessary. We value attitude and aptitude over history.
- Age: Must be at least 18 years old.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Computer Skills: Basic computer proficiency and typing skills are highly preferred.
- Legal: Must be a U.S. citizen and pass a background check and drug screening.
