Responsibilities
- Receive and process emergency and non-emergency calls from the public with speed and accuracy.
- Dispatch law enforcement, fire, and medical personnel to the scene using two-way radio systems.
- Maintain accurate logs and records of all communications, incidents, and unit activity.
- Monitor and update the status of field units to ensure officer safety and operational efficiency.
- Communicate critical information to first responders and coordinate multi-agency responses.
- Operate Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems to input and retrieve data.
- Provide assistance to citizens and maintain a professional demeanor during high-stress situations.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid Driverβs License with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a thorough background check, drug screen, and medical evaluation.
- Strong verbal and listening skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Basic computer literacy and typing proficiency.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
