Responsibilities
- Monitor Emergency Services: Answer incoming calls (911 and non-emergency) and assess the situation to determine the appropriate response.
- Dispatch Units: Rapidly and accurately dispatch police, fire, and medical units to the scene of incidents.
- Information Management: Enter and update critical data into Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems while maintaining accurate logs.
- Community Support: Provide information and assistance to citizens, including directions and non-emergency requests.
- Collaboration: Work closely with field officers and other agencies to coordinate emergency responses effectively.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Age: Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Background: No felony convictions; must pass a comprehensive background investigation and drug screen.
- License: Valid Arizona driver’s license is required.
- Skills: Strong typing skills and basic computer literacy are preferred but not mandatory for entry-level applicants.
- Availability: Must be willing to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and nights.
