Responsibilities
- Receive Emergency Calls: Answer 911 and non-emergency lines with speed, accuracy, and empathy.
- Dispatch Units: Coordinate the response of police, fire, and medical units to the correct location using CAD systems.
- Monitor Surveillance: Oversee live CCTV feeds and mobile data terminals to provide real-time support to field units.
- Maintain Logs: Accurately document all incident details, units dispatched, and status updates in the system.
- Public Assistance: Provide information, directions, and non-emergency assistance to citizens.
- Manage Stress: Maintain composure during high-stress situations and adhere to strict protocols.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Licensure: Valid Ohio Driver's License required (or ability to obtain).
- Computer Skills: Basic proficiency with Windows-based computer systems and typing.
- Stability: Must have a stable work history and regular attendance record.
- Character: No felony convictions (comprehensive background check required).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
