Responsibilities
- Receive and process emergency and non-emergency calls from the public.
- Dispatch law enforcement, fire, and medical units to incident scenes promptly.
- Monitor security cameras and radio frequencies for real-time updates.
- Maintain accurate and detailed logs of all communications and incident reports.
- Provide vital instructions and support to callers until help arrives.
- Collaborate with field units to ensure officer safety and resource allocation.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check, including fingerprinting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in computer systems and typing (40+ WPM preferred).
- Calm demeanor under pressure and ability to multitask in a high-stress environment.
