Responsibilities
- Receive, prioritize, and dispatch emergency/non-emergency calls to appropriate personnel
- Operate radio systems, computer-aided dispatch (CAD), and 911 equipment
- Maintain detailed records of calls, actions, and incident information
- Provide clear instructions to callers during critical incidents
- Coordinate with law enforcement, fire, and EMS agencies
- Complete certification training programs and maintain compliance with protocols
- Work collaboratively in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Minimum 18 years of age
- U.S. citizenship or legal residency status
- Ability to pass comprehensive background check and drug screening
- Exceptional communication and multitasking skills
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn complex systems
- Ability to remain calm and decisive during emergencies
- No felony convictions or serious misdemeanor offenses
