Responsibilities
- Receive and process emergency and non-emergency calls for service with precision and speed.
- Dispatch law enforcement, fire, and medical units to incident scenes using CAD systems.
- Maintain accurate logs and records of all dispatch activities and unit status.
- Communicate effectively with field units and other agencies via radio.
- Provide critical, real-time information to first responders to ensure public safety.
- Monitor automated warning systems and alert personnel to hazardous situations.
- Perform data entry and ensure the integrity of digital records.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid Driverβs License with an acceptable driving record.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and in high-stress situations.
- Basic computer literacy and fast typing skills.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and medical evaluation.
