Responsibilities
- Coordinate multi-agency emergency response operations during public health crises
- Develop and execute county-wide disaster preparedness plans
- Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses for critical infrastructure
- Train staff and community partners on emergency protocols
- Manage grant-funded public health initiatives and reporting
- Liaise with CDC, NC DHHS, and FEMA during activations
- Lead post-incident reviews and recommend policy improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Emergency Management, or related field
- 3+ years crisis response or public health coordination experience
- Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) or equivalent preferred
- Proficiency with GIS mapping and emergency software platforms
- Demonstrated ability to work under extreme pressure during disasters
- Valid NC driver's license with clean record
- Experience securing and managing federal/state grants
- Spanish fluency strongly preferred
