Responsibilities
- Coordinate multi-agency emergency response operations for public health incidents
- Develop and execute crisis communication strategies for vulnerable populations
- Lead rapid deployment of public health resources during emergencies
- Analyze epidemiological data to inform real-time response decisions
- Train local partners in emergency preparedness protocols
- Manage grant-funded emergency response programs
- Prepare incident action plans for natural disasters and disease outbreaks
- Collaborate with federal partners for resource optimization
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Emergency Management, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in public health emergency response
- Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) or equivalent designation
- Expertise in crisis communication and stakeholder coordination
- Proficient in emergency management software (e.g., WebEOC)
- Ability to obtain security clearance within 30 days
- Valid Texas driver's license
- Spanish fluency preferred
