Responsibilities
- Coordinate emergency response protocols for public health crises including disease outbreaks and natural disasters
- Develop and maintain inter-agency communication networks with local hospitals, fire departments, and federal agencies
- Lead community vaccination and testing initiatives during public health emergencies
- Analyze epidemiological data to predict and mitigate health risks
- Train public health staff in emergency response procedures and crisis management
- Prepare and submit urgent situation reports to state leadership within strict deadlines
- Manage emergency supply chains and resource allocation during crisis events
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Emergency Management, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 3 years experience in public health emergency response or crisis management
- Current certification in Incident Command System (ICS-300)
- Proficiency in epidemiological data analysis tools (e.g., Epi Info, R)
- Valid Arizona driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to work extended hours during emergency activations
- Experience with grant writing and federal reporting requirements
- Strong bilingual communication skills (English/Spanish required)
