Responsibilities
- Coordinate multi-agency emergency response operations across 93 counties
- Develop and implement public health crisis communication strategies
- Manage emergency supply chain logistics for PPE and medical resources
- Lead field deployment of rapid response teams during outbreaks
- Analyze epidemiological data to inform intervention strategies
- Train healthcare providers on emergency protocols and procedures
- Collaborate with FEMA and federal health agencies during declared emergencies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Emergency Management, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in public health emergency response
- Certification in Incident Command System (ICS-300) or higher
- Proficiency in emergency management software (e.g., WebEOC, EMTrack)
- Demonstrated ability to work under extreme pressure with minimal supervision
- Valid Nebraska driver's license and willingness to travel statewide
- Experience with grant writing for federal emergency preparedness funding
