Responsibilities
- Lead community health assessments and develop targeted intervention strategies
- Provide direct clinical services including immunizations, screenings, and health education
- Coordinate disease surveillance and outbreak response protocols
- Collaborate with community partners to implement public health initiatives
- Maintain accurate patient records and report data to state health agencies
- Develop and deliver health education programs for vulnerable populations
- Participate in emergency preparedness and response activities
Qualifications
- Active Nebraska Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher
- 3+ years clinical nursing experience in public/community health
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or willingness to obtain within 12 months
- Experience with electronic health records and data analysis tools
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work evenings/weekends for community events
- Strong communication skills in English and Spanish preferred
