Responsibilities
- Manage and evaluate public health grant-funded programs including vaccination initiatives and health equity projects
- Develop data-driven strategies to address community health disparities and chronic disease prevention
- Coordinate interdepartmental partnerships with healthcare providers, schools, and community organizations
- Analyze epidemiological data and prepare comprehensive reports for city leadership and state agencies
- Oversee program budgets, ensure compliance with regulations, and manage vendor contracts
- Lead crisis response efforts during public health emergencies
- Supervise program staff and interns
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in public health program management
- Valid California driver's license
- Experience with grant writing and federal/state funding applications
- Proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, R) and data visualization tools
- Knowledge of California public health regulations and Title 42 requirements
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) preferred
- Bilingual in English/Spanish highly desirable
