Responsibilities
- Develop and execute public health programs targeting chronic disease prevention and health equity initiatives
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify emerging health trends and recommend evidence-based interventions
- Coordinate with community partners and stakeholders to implement outreach campaigns
- Conduct health education workshops and provide technical assistance to community organizations
- Monitor program effectiveness through data collection and prepare comprehensive impact reports
- Advocate for public health policies at local government meetings and community forums
- Manage grant-funded projects and ensure compliance with federal/state health regulations
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field (Bachelor's with 5+ years experience considered)
- 3+ years of experience in public health program implementation or community health work
- Proficiency in health data analysis tools (SPSS, SAS, or R)
- Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) or similar credential preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences
- Experience managing grants and budgets for public health initiatives
- Knowledge of Milwaukee's public health landscape and community resources
- Valid Wisconsin driver's license with reliable transportation
