Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based public health strategies for Orleans Parish
- Coordinate emergency response plans for health crises and natural disasters
- Conduct community health assessments and data analysis
- Manage grant-funded health programs and ensure compliance
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and community organizations
- Lead public health education campaigns and outreach initiatives
- Monitor health trends and report findings to leadership
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of public health experience in government or non-profit setting
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or equivalent certification
- Strong knowledge of CDC and Louisiana Department of Health protocols
- Experience with health data analysis and reporting tools
- Exceptional communication and community engagement skills
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure emergency situations
- Valid Louisiana driver's license
