Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based public health programs targeting chronic disease prevention and health equity initiatives
- Conduct epidemiological surveillance and data analysis to identify emerging health trends and prioritize interventions
- Collaborate with community partners, healthcare providers, and government agencies to coordinate public health response efforts
- Lead health education initiatives through workshops, media campaigns, and community outreach events
- Manage program budgets, evaluate intervention effectiveness, and prepare comprehensive impact reports
- Stay current with public health policies, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance and innovation
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field from an accredited institution
- Minimum 3 years of experience in public health program implementation or community health initiatives
- Valid Tennessee Public Health License or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., SPSS, SAS, R) and health data visualization tools
- Demonstrated experience in grant writing and managing public health program budgets
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build relationships across diverse community groups
- Ability to work independently and in high-pressure situations during public health emergencies
