Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based public health programs targeting vulnerable populations
- Conduct epidemiological investigations and surveillance for reportable diseases
- Coordinate multi-agency health emergency responses and disaster preparedness
- Provide technical guidance to local healthcare providers and community organizations
- Analyze health data trends and prepare comprehensive impact reports
- Manage grant-funded projects ensuring compliance with state/federal regulations
- Lead community outreach initiatives addressing health disparities
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of public health program experience
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) preferred
- Proficiency in health data analysis tools (SPSS, SAS, Epi Info)
- Experience with emergency preparedness and response protocols
- Bilingual proficiency in English/Spanish required
- Valid Texas driver's license
- Knowledge of border health challenges and cultural competency
